Direct-to-substrate digital prints on CNC routed PVC sheet / 4’ x 45’ / 2021

Air Space is a photographic installation that depicts the view from 2500’ above the concourse where it is installed. Taking these photographs involved flying over the airport, and in-line with the concourse, in an open-air plane. Viewing this piece is an act of replicating the flight path that the photographs were taken along. Doing so allows for the exact view from above to be seen from within the airport. The installation brings together two vantage points: a view of the ground from a plane in flight, and a view of a plane in flight from the ground.
