In the housing development that I lived in, the lawns were watered every night by a series of sprinklers. Water pressure is equally distributed to all the sprinklers lines. I periodically removed the top of one of the sprinkler heads, allowing all of the water pressure to be released from that one location, resulting in a 30' geyser.
