When the blinking lights from construction placards are put in close proximity, they appear to fall in sync with each other, though the effect is only an illusion created from each light reflecting off the plastic housings. For an exhibition, a small room was created where a viewer could sit in the dark with 25 of these lights and meditate on this phenomenon. In a proposed iteration two identical trucks would be carrying dozens of these blinking placard lights while driving through a city at night.
