A series of sixteen details taken from a single photograph of a tornado that had just passed through and destroyed the small town of Manchester, South Dakota. Each image is a 4000% enlargement of bits of light-colored debris that look like small pieces of paper, but are actually much larger things such as doors and building panels. Here they appear indiscernible and otherworldly in their abstractedness. The sunlight, coming from where the storm has yet to reach, is illuminating these bits of debris against the various shades of dark sky.
