Binoculara

Binoculara consists of two vertical light boxes inset on either side of the entrance to an apartment building in Vancouver that depict a misty, evergreen-covered mountainside on an overcast day. The imagery is referencing the mountains at the edge of the city that are oriented in the same direction. These two pictorial openings are metaphorically functioning as a set of binoculars, magnifying the distant landscape and bringing the mountains into the building.
